Paul Williger
Paul Williger has been with Appleton & Associates Inc. since 1994 and is an Associate, as well as the Santa Monica Office Director. Originally from Chicago, he received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urban (1980) and spent a year studying architecture in France. Upon Returning to the United States, he took a position at the Chicago office of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill.
Paul furthered his education at Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture and Planning, obtaining a Masters of Architecture in 1986. During this time, his studies included a summer in Rome on a William Kine Scholarship. He has worked for some of the most prominent firms on the East coast, including Richard Meier and Partners. Prior to graduation, he was recruited and employed by the firm of one of his professors, Robert A.M. Stern.
In 1989, Paul relocated to Los Angeles and practiced residential architecture for five years prior to joining Appleton & Associates Inc. His present responsibilities include managing the Santa Monica office and the design and management of a myriad of custom residential and commercial projects.
He is married to Ilene Wolkowitz, an attorney, and lives in Malibu with their two children.
